About Jim Gingerich

Jim Gingrich is an artist living and working in the Hamptons, New York. His dynamic and often narrative paintings - rendered with exciting brush strokes and muted colors - offer illicit glimpses of his intimate relationship of his natural surroundings. Residing in the Hamptons since 1970’s, he became well known for paintings of landscapes and beaches in the Hamptons. His recent trip to the American west resulted extensive works of mystic openness of the West. His work has been widely exhibited at major galleries and museums including the Yale University Art Gallery. His collectors include Eric Clapton, Robert Deniro, Roy Scheider and Kurt Vonnegut.
