Weir at Graue Mill

My nature art group plans plein air dates or “paint outs” as we call them. This painting was done on site, at a nearby forest preserve. A beautiful early fall day (notice some red leaves turning in the left side of the painting), with the sound of the falling water. For environmental reasons, now this dam is due to be removed! Times change! I love catching the air and feel of a location in watery paints.
