Oak Lobed Gall

This watercolor focuses on a gall formation in a tree. This is the Oak Lobed Gall, with various sections which shelter the larvae laid by a wasp or fly. I simply  find the shapes and colors fascinating, as one of nature's creations. I first photographed this odd formation. Then I draw and paint from my photo. This has not been frames so can be matted and framed as a traditional watercolor in any manner the owner wished. The heavy paper will be properly packed for flat/safe shipping;.
