About the work

In Jacqueline's collage, magic unfolds through a mix of bodily interventions, dream-like scenes, and architectural elements. These represent the beautiful and sometimes risky aspects of life that we all encounter. Creating these collages is therapeutic for Jacqueline, helping her process her experiences.

Although the title of this collage mentions the bridge (a central theme in this series), the more captivating elements of the collage divert from its primary subject. Movement abounds: a child swings, male figures move atop the water, and an indistinct, colossal yet anonymous creature with humanlike features emerges. Adding to the intrigue, a woman with binoculars gazes away from the depicted scene. What does this signify? Does it suggest that the unseen scene beyond holds more allure, or is it truly more interesting than the enigmatic objects within the spectator's view?
