About Patricia Lotens

Patricia Lotens has been drawing and painting since she was young. After years of painting with visual artist Jeanne de Kruif, she advised Patricia to go to the Kleine Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Here she learned a lot and then took painting lessons at the Wackers Academie in Amsterdam. Since 2006, she has been a professional artist. She is versatile: drawing, painting, and ceramics in many techniques and teaching. By chance, she discovered the art form of porcelain painting. A hit! This form inspired her so much that she specialized and deepened her knowledge by taking further lessons and masterclasses. Painting on ceramics is her great passion. In 2007, Patricia won a prize with her work "frog plate" during the annual PSG competitions of the Porcelain Painting Society. The theme of that year was "in, on, or underwater". Since 2007, she has been teaching in the lovely studio in her garden in Baarn. She started teaching porcelain painting. The lessons she took at the Academies came in handy here. Creating clay shapes, decorating ceramics, or painting porcelain. It can all be done in Lotens' Atelier. Patricia Lotens learned the craft of being a ceramicist at the Dutch Ceramic School, specializing in decoration techniques on ceramics and porcelain. During a workshop or weekly lessons, you can join with your own group or participate in a combined group. With clay, you can endlessly create shapes and decorate with color and glaze. On white porcelain, you paint the most beautiful figures with watercolor-like paint. Abstract or figurative. Come and try it out, you will see that you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
