Too Hot Down Under

In 2019 and 2020 I was aware of the horrible fires in Australia decimating the koala population. How sad for these appealing little creatures. This seemed another subject for my newer oil & cold wax medium. The rough texture one can create with this waxy medium seemed appropriate for the forest, the fur and the flames.
