About the work

Pages is a striking triptych that highlights the subtle relationship between books, memory, and knowledge. Composed of three panels measuring 120 x 40 cm, this work represents bookshelves in an abstract manner, where the pages transform into geometric, almost sculptural shapes. The use of soft colors – shades of white, beige, and gray – enhances the intimate and serene atmosphere, while the appearance of touches of color, such as yellow, introduces a dimension of light and discreet energy within the composition.

The texture of the oil on canvas, created with brush strokes and impasto, gives each panel a physical and tactile presence, reinforcing the idea of memory as a tangible and living space. The books, although partially abstract, appear as silent witnesses of the knowledge accumulated over time. The emptiness between the shelves suggests the absence of certain knowledge, but also the space for imagination and discovery.

This triptych is an invitation to explore the invisible library that resides within each of us. Each panel is a visual reflection on the richness of human knowledge, while leaving room for personal and intimate interpretation.
