The Keeper

"The Keeper" represents a little girl standing still in the middle of a frenetically moving urban crowd. The little girl is dressed in a pink tulle dress to underline her purity and extraneousness to that world of adults that stirs behind her, in a way that is incomprehensible to her. She holds in her hand three pocket watches made of clay, gold leaf and resin, none of which shows a truly comprehensible time, representing how time has a completely different and absolute value and meaning for children, so much so being able to be its true "keepers", protecting it with their truth. The series of my new production of works characterized by dreamlike and symbolic atmospheres continues. The painting is framed, signed on its back and comes with certificate of authenticity.
