Artist Rais Bashiri (Bashirov) was born on May 25, 1951 in the Orenburg region, Russia. After 40 years, he

moved to Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Rais was fond of painting since childhood, at every opportunity he picked up a pencil and sketched

everything he saw. Since childhood, he loved to read books about artists and art, which inspired him to further

work in this field.

In his youth, Rais lived and worked in Belarus, where he met an artist named Bieder Wolf, who

became his mentor and teacher.

Rais began his professional artistic career with realism, which he followed for many

years. After some time, the artist's desire to find his vision of the world led him to create avant-garde

painting.
