About Netty Gelijsteen
Since 1993, I have been creating my own work with an investigative approach to squares and places. And always involving people in it. In my Votive Talisman, the encounters are even the basis of the work.
The latest work from 2020 and 2021 consists of embroidered blind drawings based on encounters on the prints of the Dam (125m2 contact print) the Binnenhof (70 meters on Vlisco and black canvases) Being sidewalks, parks, and walls and Hiroshima.
