About natalya pravda

Natalia Pravda was born in 1986 in Ukraine. In 2009, she graduated from the Dnipro State Academy of Construction and Architecture. After graduating from the academy, she continues her education, honing her skills in painting and sculpture. Previously, she worked a lot with bas-reliefs and monumental painting, but after some time decided to fully devote herself to painting. Currently, Natalia lives and works in Dnipro, Ukraine. @@Natalia is an artist who experiments with the use of natural materials and raw materials for creating her works. Their images range from abstract to figurative; they often contain lettered or additional references. Despite all possible similarities, Natalia leaned towards a more open reading of her work, warning that: "We have the opportunity to read things, to read everything in what we understand. The purity of color and its interaction with the canvas create a quiet openness." That is what I try to convey in my works. @@I try to let the painting create itself, to create conditions in which it will grow and become something. I do not build the painting brick by brick, as you build a brick wall, but rather create conditions and let something change, and it happens suddenly. @@I often reflect on what materials to use, so sometimes it is really an exploration. As if you have penetrated into space where you have never been before and mentioned things whose existence you did not even suspect. For me, this becomes more and more interesting. It is @@always a factor of surprise, so you cannot predict when you combine this element and that element together, and the idea or final result will be good; there are no recipes, and it does not look good to do the same thing over and over again and think that it is the same, because there is a lot of improvisation, but this improvisation is based on experience. There is not much time for reflection, so it is better to be ready to act when the right moment comes. @@Painting leaves traces somewhere, just as our life leaves traces in space, on walls or in the environment we live in. Therefore, I try to leave traces and understand the canvas as a place where it was inevitable, where constant events occur, where life happens. @@Although I always order what I have already done and on my experience, I have to risk everything I have. I invest everything I have into this painting or onto the next canvas. And suddenly you can feel completely empty, feel that you have absolutely nothing. It is like starting from scratch, and that is very scary. @@I believe in the idea of funding painting, which some artists do not like. And even if you have a talent for something and you know that it will be something worth existing for a while, you have to give it your all."
