Contemporary portrait "Photo for Memory"
About the work
Sometimes I wonder, was it even there - that past life?
If there are no photos, there is no evidence. In this artwork, I've captured a moment suspended in time, where nostalgia meets the contemporary. The use of acrylic and oil paints allows for a blend of textures, creating depth and emotion. The subject's intense gaze and poised stance are set against a dreamy, soft-hued landscape, inviting contemplation on the connection between past and present. It's a piece that brings a thoughtful and serene energy to any space, while the bold contrasts ensure it remains a compelling focal point. For texture on the primed canvas before painting, a layer of textured paste with small glass particles is applied and then sanded with sandpaper for smoothness.
Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam, golden leaves and Italian canvas tm Unico were used. Finish - satin varnish. The ends are painted in the background color. Additional framing is not required. Series "Life in Avatar".
