Naomi (1984, Alkmaar) is ruim 20 jaar Grafisch Ontwerper en Lifestyle Illustrator met Nederlands- Caribische roots. Ze woont met haar man en dochtertje in Purmerend en werkt als freelancer. Na een heftige periode te hebben doorgemaakt, kwam het schilderen op gang. Ze kon hier al haar emotie en creativiteit in kwijt en de inspiratie is eindeloos, namelijk de Caribbean. Mixed media zoals acrylverf, Aquadrop, neon inkt en goudfolie lopen als een rode draad door haar collecties heen. De contrasten en schitteringen die hierdoor ontstaan nemen je gelijk mee naar het eiland met haar prachtige natuur & kleurrijke cultuur.
 

“Ik heb me laten inspireren door de stranden, de felle kleuren en de heerlijke sfeer van het eiland Curaçao, waar mijn moeder is geboren. Elk werk is puur op gevoel gemaakt en ik ben enorm trots op elk schilderij”

Naomi (1984, Alkmaar) has been a Graphic Designer and Lifestyle Illustrator for over 20 years, with Dutch-Caribbean roots. She lives with her husband and daughter in Purmerend and works as a freelancer. After going through a challenging period, she turned to painting as an outlet for her emotions and creativity. Her inspiration is endless: the Caribbean. Mixed media techniques such as acrylic paint, Aquadrop, neon ink, and gold foil run like a common thread through her collections. The contrasts and shimmering effects created by these materials immediately transport you to an island rich in stunning nature and vibrant culture.

"I was inspired by the beaches, the bright colors, and the wonderful atmosphere of Curaçao, where my mother was born. Each piece is created purely by intuition, and I am incredibly proud of every painting."
