David Higginson was born in Accrington Uk on the 23rd of May in the year of 1969 and stayed there untill the age of 19, when he left to go to university in Leeds to do a BA in fine arts. Once he finished university, he met the woman that became his wife and moved to Liverpool .After three and half years, he left the marriage. He went travelling for around a year even though he was suffering from depression. He now thinks he was just attempting to run away. After about a year, he went back to Liverpool, where he fell in with a crime family and worked with them for around 9/10 years.

He was forced to leave that life behind him and move back to Accrington, where he lives until this day. In 2011, David was attacked by a man with an iron bar and was in a coma for around 3 weeks. Once he woke up from this, he suffered from loss of memory and struggled every day to remember simple things like his name and where he was. As a result of this, he found it harder and harder to go outside and interact with other people and developed Agoraphobia and, for some reason, Meloaphba, both of which he still suffers from till this day.

He continued to paint but never really finished any work and just mainly worked on commissioned works. That was until his oldest friend and brother Terry Graham motivated him to get back to his own art . And so David pushed himself to finish all the unfinished work he had and push 
forward with his work, which he still does to this day .

He also likes to play computer games in his down time. His favourite was Lotro ( Lord of the rings online) and this is where the name GrayHammer was born. He became quite famous within the community as a mercenary and it was here he met Marija Maja, who not only became a fantastic friend to David but also gave him strength to carry on through all his down days and bad times , even though they had never actually met in life, he felt all the trust he needed from her and hoped she did to.
