About the work
This photo is a real symphony of peace and harmony, where every element breathes minimalism and sophistication. Before us unfolds a landscape that resembles waves frozen in time. Smooth hills, like the warm breath of the earth, flow into each other, forming soft, natural curves that resemble silk fabrics unfolded in the wind. They envelop the space with silence, where the absence of details turns into a poetic form of perception of space and time.
On these boundless waves of peace, two groups of cypress trees are depicted, like dark islands in a world of light tones. The first group of trees, dense and crowded together, reminds of the unity and power of nature, but at the same time creates the impression of standing alone in the middle of the wasteland. Their dark silhouettes contrast sharply with the smooth, soft forms of the hills. It's almost like a counterpoint in music—a sharp chord amidst melodic silence. They stand sentinel in silent lands, as witnesses of a time beyond human comprehension.
In the distance, a second group of cypresses can be seen - distant, as if a memory or an illusion. They are like ghosts disappearing over the horizon, symbolizing a journey through space and time. An infinite distance is felt between these two islands of nature, as if between two worlds or states of consciousness. The first group of cypresses is closer, more real, while the second is a dream that cannot be reached. This gap between them emphasizes the theme of isolation, but also the search, the constant longing for something distant, unattainable.
The sky that hangs over this landscape is blurred, like foggy thoughts enveloping consciousness. It carries a feeling of infinity and peace, creating an atmosphere of contemplation. Black and white play a key role here, erasing details and leaving only the essence — shapes, contrasts, textures. This is a photo that invites us to think about life, loneliness, the passage of time and the search for something greater than what is in front of us. She invites us to stop and look into the depth of simplicity, to discover new meanings in silence.
