2019 glass casting and glassblowing in Lommel

Years ago, I was inspired by working with glass. I use various techniques for this. Glassblowing has the most appeal to me; it remains fascinating how glass changes through the flame. I try to create assembled shapes with the fragile glass. For example, I make an ant. This consists of different glass parts that fit together and can be placed in various ways, thus taking on multiple positions. I also make different flowers from glass with unique shapes.

Other techniques I work with are Tiffany and engraving glass. With Tiffany, I try to work as three-dimensional as possible, creating beautiful objects with different colors. When the light shines on it, beautiful color variations can be seen. I enjoy engraving glass by depicting representations with humor on the glassware. For example, a funny text or a picture with a wink.
