Amstel

Amstel is a painting from the series "FLowers On Water". The name is derived from a body of water in the world. All paintings in the series are named after a body of water.

The painting has a background of abstractly arranged colors, and the spots within it lead to the formation of the flowers and the vase. The negative space is overpainted with a transparent layer of white paint, and then the image elements are decorated with various patterns and motifs. This is done with a fountain pen and acrylic ink and with acrylic markers.
