My Tufted Puffins

While I don't live in  the North Pacific ocean area, I still found these delightful creatures! I found them in the fine Natural History Museum at Benedict University near my home. Every year our nature art group has a “paint-out” at this fascinating location. These two sit in a display case, so I created the water and the stone cliff where they stand. I used the glaze upon dry glaze of watercolor to build up their colors, not black, but shiny dark feathers reflecting many colors - yellows, reds, greens, blues.
