Looking Toward Diego

This pose of Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist, is taken from a video found online. She is with Diego in the courtyard of her home with the blue walls, many plants, and ancient statuary. She is actually looking in the direction of Diego in the video where I captured a screen shot. This is the second painting I have done of Frida, who intrigues me as she does so many others  — her long life of physical suffering, her great talent at painting self portraits while recovering, her fiery relationship with Diego and her love of colorful clothes, including this authentic huipil. This painting is in acrylic on linen, sturdy and lasting. The price includes wrapping and shipping, and could be reduced if shipped inside the U.S. or near my home.
