Banana Plant

An avid gardener in my area has this banana plant which is outdoor only in summer, and heated in winter. It was summer when my art group went there to draw and paint. I loved seeing  this large leaved plant with it's turning colors. The shapes and the wonderful reds attracted me. I believe the painting shows how dynamic this plant is, forever changing and converting. This painting is surrounded by a white 3" archival mat.
