Léonne Zuurbier
About Léonne Zuurbier
Expressionist artist Léonne Zuurbier was born in IJmuiden, grew up opposite the North Holland dune reserve in Castricum, and now resides in the middle of the Waardpolder in Wieringerwaard.
Her work has been exhibited at various exhibitions for years.
Initially, she practiced various disciplines, but while attending the art academy, she began to focus on painting and stenciling.
Her powerful works are influenced by her daily dreams, giving a sense of alienation and an unconventional appearance to landscape and animal.
The works on paper are illustrative and executed in pastel or charcoal and are sold at art markets, among other places.
Trained by dedicated teachers, she continually renews herself.
In addition to her own work, she teaches in her own studio or plein air in the polder.
