About the work

This art piece is in exhibition

Depicting the possible illusion of how people experiencing freedom. Rather said, who or what is giving freedom?

Covid-19 gave the world a total different sense of freedom. Where others give their full trust in the ruling system and others into a higher power than themselves. Or the choice in whom or what they want them to control.

In this piece I try to show what might be a freedom, either experienced as an illusion, surrealism or reality.
My main focus on each of my art pieces is to let the viewer experience full freedom and autonomy in how they want to read and/ or see my pieces and if this resonates with them or not.

The canvases consist of extra thick stapled rough fiber canvas. Epoxy resin, wood, wire threads, acrylic paint, water color, oil pastel, colored glue. Each canvas has the measurement of 3 times 40 c.m. by 120 c.m.
