Review of my work in REVISTART Magazine nº 204

The work of the self-taught artist Josan is presented crossed by an intense Neo-expressionism. With artistic references such as Picasso, Bacon, Basquiat or Saura, he composes with brio portraits and characters with heartbreaking gestures, manufacturing foreshortenings of synthetic and cubist lines, nuanced by the color and signography of the scenes. Symbolic splits of personality are twisted between strokes drawn with passion, and that reflect the spirit and imagination of the artist himself. "In my works I try to reflect with strength and intensity the interior of my characters invented by me from the expression of their faces and portraits, made with bright colors, almost always pure colors." - C.N.
