Hedland Range Sunrise

This panoramic, large landscape painting is based on and inspired by the beauty of the Australian Outback daybreaks, frozen on a picture made in the early Summer of 2013. I first made my underpainting in acrylic and Gesso. This to create a perfect, solid texture for the following layers. Then I started working on multiple layers of a combination of thick and thin traits of acrylic, finished with a slightly glossy varnish.
