Jaehun Park is a digital sculptor, animator, and simulator. He uses three-dimensional computer graphic animation to make the imagined reality visible in virtual space. Before coming to the Netherlands, he lived in Seoul. Seoul is the fastest developing metropolis of the last 30 years in the world, which is why he experienced a highly saturated capitalist environment. His work was influenced by this money-driven foreign psychological infrastructure and mass-produced objects. Building elements and signs for the construction of infrastructure and commercial advertising display systems, mass-produced objects in a shopping mall, and sanitary spaces (shower areas) are his recent main subjects. In his animations, he deeply reflects on ordinary objects and space in relation to the ritual structure of post-capitalism and consumerism.
