About Indrė Jaselskė
I’m a sensitive idealist, motivated by deeper personal values, emotional experiences and authentic things.
I finished art school and later got a bachelor degree in graphics. Today I’m a freelancer working with different custom projects: paintings, drawings, murals, decorations, toys. I specialise in painting women and animal portraits in oil on canvas, digital painting, mixed media.
My purpose is to create art which catches spectators’ eyes with a touch of intrigue, untold story, cozy, hopeful, bright or blue, nostalgic feeling.
My motivation comes from positive reactions of people after seeing my artworks. Comparing my older works with new ones and noticing the progress makes me proud of myself. Although I’m a perfectionist and it can sometimes be hard to put the brush down without trying to constantly improve my paintings, after I finally finish them, I always feel proud of myself.
Creating art is a subtle way to tell stories, materialize images of my inner world to people who observe my works and question what they are about, what emotions they hold.
Art to me is about communicating a feeling, showing things that I can’t put into words by using my skills which I’ve been honing throughout the years.
