About Henk van den boogaard
Henk van den Boogaard works as a painter with oil and/or acrylic on canvas or panel and has a background in the graphic media industry and the art world. He completed a graphic design education in Utrecht (NL), where he finished a study in Communication, Management, and Media Design. He was the owner of Almedeon, owner of PromArt Gallery, and publisher of high-quality art reproductions (Art prints) in a self-developed technique.
He learned the technique of painting as a self-taught artist, influenced by many artists with whom he collaborated.
Previously, he took lessons from Toon Merkelbach in Oisterwijk and his uncle Henry van den Boogaard (USA), later from Jo Dumon Tak in Middelburg. His style evolved from figurative/realistic to impressionistic and from 2020 to abstract.
His paintings can be found in private ownership in the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, and Italy.
-2022 / Summer exhibition under the theme 'The Zeeland Light' in Domburg, together with Hans Versfelt, Jo Dumon Tak, and Wim van de Wege.
-2021 / group exhibition in Domburg during the Art Week.
-Since 2017 to present / Organization and guidance (together with several renowned artists) of the annual Masterclasses painting 'The Zeeland Light' on the beach of Domburg.
-2004-2009 / Annual exhibition at Galerie PromArt in Oisterwijk.
