About Hanna Grzonka-Karwacka
Hanna Grzonka-Karwacka. In year 1999 she graduated from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Institute of Fine Art (Graphic department), Poland. Since 2005 she has been working at the Institute of Fine Art (her Alma Mater) where she runs the Drawing Studio. Her artistic work deals with the issues of identity, memory and post-memory. She uses various types of media: experimental printmaking, drawing, painting, object and animation. Participant of artistic residencies (North Wales School of Arts and Design, Wrexham, Great Britain, 2008; Guanlan Original Printmaking Base, China, 2012). Author of workshops and artistic actions. She presented her works at 30 individual and over 200 collective exhibitions, in Poland and abroad. In year 2024 she has been a finalist of Osten Biennial Skopje and Arte Laguna Prize in Venice /Arsenale Nord exhibition 16th Nov. – 8th Dec. 2024/
