Summertime Riverbank
About the work
Summertime Riverbank is a semi abstract painting of the wildflowers and teasel seen by an English river in July. It is 36x30x1.5inches. In the foreground you can see the lilacs and pinks yellows of teasel and other wildflowers and behind them the hint of a calm river and the opposite bank. The painting is semi-abstract and unique in style as though it is an oil painting it has the fluidity of a watercolour. It is wispy and ethereal just like nature and the seasons themselves are. The painting was inspired by a walk and boat trip along the banks of the river Ouse near Lewes. It aims to capture a perfect moment in summer but reflects the transient nature of summer in the UK at the same (fleeting). Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity and gifts from the artist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayyrLm8WBEY
