White Nose, unique artwork 1/1

Awarded in the International ND Awards After a long period of working almost exclusively in black and white, White Nose is one of the first works where color returns. Yet this is still a black and white image. I gradually blend the colors into the shades of gray. My fine art photography sometimes is like a mirror to me. The photo was taken along the French north coast at Cap Blanc Nez, but it's not so much the location. This work is more about transforming reality into an image that says more about the photographer than only its beauty reveals. This photo will be printed as a one of a kind work of art, which I only sell once. A work that fits within an extraordinary interior or a unique collection.

Na een lange periode waarin ik bijna uitsluitend in zwart-wit gewerkt heb, is White Nose één van de eerste werken waarin kleur terugkeert. Toch is dit ook nog steeds een zwart-wit beeld. De kleuren laat ik gradueel overlopen in de grijstinten. Mijn fine art fotografie laat me soms zien wat er in me omgaat. De foto is gemaakt langs de Franse noordkust bij Cap Blanc Nez, maar het gaat niet zozeer om de locatie. Het gaat in dit werk meer om de transformatie van de werkelijkheid naar een beeld dat meer zegt over de fotograaf dan alleen de schoonheid ervan onthult. Deze foto wordt uitgevoerd als een single edition fine art print, die ik maar één keer verkoop. Een werk dat past binnen een buitengewoon interieur of een unieke verzameling.
