About the work

This work was chosen in the season opener of the TV program ‘Sterren op het Doek’ as the winning artwork.
It shows Arjen Lubach in stillness, introspective, where it was deliberately chosen not to show characteristic aspects such as the hair, which further draws attention to the inward-looking gaze.
