About the work
In 1954, a man throws a bucket of Nile perch into Lake Victoria. In the 1980s, it was discovered that this invasive fish had eaten nearly all the originally living fish (cichlids) in the lake. The ecosystem of the lake has been severely disrupted since then. The population suffers from hunger because the Nile perch are exported to the west.
