Dyon Scheijen is a clinical physicist - audiologist and visual artist. He has pursued both professions separately for years, but since 2020, he ingeniously combines them. Scheijen often observes during his audiology consultations that people moving from a house to a modern apartment opt for a living room with an open kitchen. 

These large spaces with smooth walls, sleek floors, and hard materials create significant echoes. When friends visit and engage in conversation, the poor acoustics have a considerable impact on speech intelligibility in the room. Improving acoustics can be achieved by using acoustic-absorbing materials, including large wall-filling artworks that enhance the room's acoustics.
