Standing out from the crowd
About the work
When I was in Milan in 2009, I went to the passage "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II" and took some pictures of this beautiful place. Later I used those pictures as inspiration to create this painting in 2010. It has been hanging in my own place for the last 7 years and I had much fun having it. Now it's time to have someone else enjoy this work. About the techniques: I combine drawing and painting with watercolour markers and brushes to create a sketch. This sketch gets scanned into my computer and is worked out with Photoshop and Illustrator to create a digital file. This digital file then gets printed with high quality ink on canvas. Then I hang the work in my studio and work on it again painting all over by hand and adding features to make it unique. This process is limited to 1 unique edition.
