Pandora's thoughts

To understand the inspiration for this "Pandora's thoughts" painting, we have to go back to Dominic's childhood. When Dominic was around the age of 7, his 18 year old sister was studying Latin and Greek Mythology. With their parents they travelled to many Greek islands and visited archeological sites. This combined with stories his sister told him about Odysseus and Pandora's box had a great impact on him and resulted, for example, in this painting.

Dominic draws by hand on paper, then the drawing is scanned into the computer. The next step is drawing on the image in Photoshop, creating "new mixed media"art. The file gets then printed on high quality canvas which Dominic paints on again, making it a unique kind of work and giving it depth and details.
