A night in Mexico

New Media: Acrylic, Watercolor, Digital, Aluminium, Metal In “A Night in Mexico” Dominic creates a playful, colorful scene of a womanly character sitting by the pool. The different surfaces are stencil and fluoresce like. Their bright colors powerful clash with the deep blue night. The alienated character is created of different symbols and sources of inspiration, for example the unmistakable Egyptian eye. These symbols break the modern elements like drinking at the outdoor pool in a very elegant way. This artwork comes in limited editions of 150 x 100 ( 5 pieces), 225 x 150 cm (7 pieces). Techniques used: I draw by hand on paper, scan it in and then work it out with Photoshop. The artwork will be finished with the use of the most modern printing techniques available today (HD metal). About HD metal: Transfer printing onto metal is a new, cutting edge, way to reproduce an image. While being subjected to extreme heat and pressure, the dyes from the transfer paper turn into a gas, are pressed into the surface of the metal, and then solidify into the treated aluminum. The unique thing is that the gloss level of the metal is fully preserved, which results in an unbelievable picture quality. Ready to hang No framing needed.
