Born in Buenos Aires. He currently resides in the city of Barcelona, Spain since 2001, performing, in addition to artistic activity, as an art teacher.

Carlos Sánchez Maydana, introduces us to a world of absences, a labyrinthine, threadbare, suspended path, a space that was or will be, a wait that forces us to pause reflectively on temporality.

He generates spaces loaded with theatricality, images that offer a feigned reality in which a greater truth is glimpsed.

Through oil painting, graphite drawing and sculptures he substance a long path of labyrinths, skeins and partitions that reveal the eternal search for the essential through serious introspection.
