I was born in 1972 in Waalwijk. After many wanderings in the Netherlands, I now live again in North Brabant, in the small village of Biezenmortel. As a child, painting was my greatest hobby, and at the age of 11, I took my first painting course at the creative center De Terp. Over the years, I have taken several courses, especially in the field of working with oil paints and acrylic paints. In 2023, I started watercoloring, and this has not let me go. However, it is clear to me that I use this medium in a different way than most artists. In my 'naive' series, I work with permanent markers alongside watercolor, and sometimes with permanent markers and Ecoline felt-tip pens. I use very different styles. I am self-taught in watercoloring, painting is relaxation for me alongside a busy job as a manager in IT.
