About the work

Phailinsiam - Gliese 3470 B

The constant bombardment of particles from its parent star creates an amazing aurora on Phailinsiam. Tidally-locked; the planet has a night and a day side and this amazing spectacle of particles hitting the ionosphere is always present on the night side and even better with the bioluminescent plants on the soil. The only downside of this world is the heavy gravity, the low oxygenation and the cold temperature. I'll let you enjoy the sight. Over and out.

Scientific Data:
Location: 95.9 light-years from Sol
Host star: GJ 3470
Planet Type: Neptune-like

Gliese 3470 B, formally named Phailinsiam is an exoplanet orbiting the star GJ 3470, located in the constellation Cancer. With a mass of just under 14 Earth-masses and a radius approximately 4.3 times that of Earth's, it is likely something akin to Neptune despite the initially strong belief that the planet was not covered in clouds like the gas giants in the Solar System.
