About the work

The painting was done in Minsk in 2017. The depicted landscape is located on the Minsk Sea. A severe thunderstorm has just ended. Heavy and gloomy clouds spinning in a spiral gradually go beyond the horizon. The nude of a woman is relieved to look into the distance as a passing storm. She survived this storm and her nudity has not only an aesthetic and artistic moment. There is allegory here. Sometimes we are stripped naked and delving into our underwear, wanting to hurt. This situation creates a terrible storm in our life and sometimes having survived a shock we remain naked in a terrible torrential rain. But time passes and the storm ends, leaving the horizon and taking away the source of our troubles, making us stronger and more beautiful. And this beauty is not in the perfection of a young and folded figure, but in its steadfastness and unwavering and confidence in its rightness and innocence.
