Indulged in the apple

"Indulged in the apple " watercolor on 140 lb paper 11" x 15".
When I read Michaela's poem I was inspired to paint this. Here is the poem:
prince uncharming

i was starving so bad
for a little taste
of your attention
that i threw all caution to the wind
and indulged in the apple
you gave to me, so bloody red
savoring the sweetness
of every little bite
that i could get
now i’m laying here
in my glass coffin
waiting for someone
to wipe out the bitter taste
you left in my mouth.
