Born in Zeeland, raised in Heemstede and currently residing in The Hague via Amsterdam. Educated (and worked until the age of 45) as a sociologist, then switched to visual arts. Followed an unconventional path: the Kleine Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam, the training to become a Drawing Therapist in Zutphen, and among others the courses Color Experience, the (im)possibilities of Pastel Chalk, and Japanese and Chinese brush techniques. Especially continuing to experiment is her motto.

Enjoys going on a 'discovery journey' in the natural outside world and combines those impressions in her work with a glimpse into her inner world. Her work can be found in various private collections.
