Marilyn Peretti: Nature and Figures

Marilyn Peretti has drawn and painted throughout her life, developing skills that felt natural to her from school onward. After earning her degree from Purdue University, she spent her mid-adult years deepening her focus on nature art, studying traditional botanical illustration at the Morton Arboretum near Chicago starting in 1992. For years she prepared paintings regularly for group exhibitions with the Nature Artists' Guild, while also showing her work in solo exhibits at venues including the Oak Park Conservatory and The Theosophical Society. Her paintings range across landscapes, botanical details, and carefully observed portraits, each rendered with the same thoughtful attention to form and color.
