In 2019 and 2020 I was aware of the horrible fires in Australia decimating the koala population. How sad for these appealing little creatures. This seemed another subject for my newer oil & cold wax medium. The rough texture one can create with this waxy medium seemed appropriate for the forest, the fur and the flames. So, this painting captures a time in history, the threat to the large loss of these animals. Packing and shipping is included in the price shown here. #koalas #Australia #AustraliaFires
