About Mia
Moscow, Russia
I was born in the Yaroslavl region, but spent most of my life in the Volgograd region, and now live in Moscow. Since childhood, I felt a craving for drawing, but fate decreed otherwise: I entered and graduated from the Volgograd Pedagogical University, specializing in philology. Despite this, I never felt a calling to teach. My path can be called a road of constant searches - I tried myself in a variety of professions, for which I can call myself a "human orchestra" with a smile. But the dream of becoming an artist has always lived in me, even despite the lack of professional art education. In my work, I strive to explore the feelings and states of a person, embodying them in artistic images. I am inspired by characters from pop culture and folklore, as well as borderline emotions - anxiety, hopelessness, the search for meaning. My works are often dark and atmospheric, reflecting reflections on human nature.
