Rob Jacobs was born in 1964 and lives and works in Weert, Netherlands. He studied at the art academy in Neerpelt, Belgium, and has developed his practice while working as an entrepreneur. He has built an extensive collection of works in both color and black and white across a range of sizes.
Jacobs draws inspiration from the human figure, particularly the diversity of facial expressions and different characters. He works intuitively, often beginning without a preconceived plan. His paintings combine human subjects with raw emotion and mixed techniques, creating works that are abstract and confronting in both black and white and color. His pieces are held in private collections both within the Netherlands and internationally.
