
About Bozena Kaluga

Bozena Kaluga studied in Poland, earning a Master of Arts in Textiles and Sculpture from the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz in 1985. She has been based in London since 2001, working across disciplines to combine traditional techniques with contemporary themes.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and art fairs internationally. Awards include the UNESCO Award for drawing in Zurich (1977), a gold medal from the Art Society Awards (1984), first prize from the Academy of Arts University (1985), a gold medal at Jugend Gestaltet in Munich (1988), and the International Textilekunst Betonac-Prijs in Belgium (1988). She received an honourable mention at the London International Creative Competition in 2019, was a finalist in 2021, and was selected by the jury for Created Art at the LICC in 2022 and 2023. In 2009, she won Best of Sculpture at Marizart Galerie in Germany.
