On board the ferry

There is a particular pleasure in making art which can be altered by the owner. In this work, a diptych on two canvases of 40 x 30 cm each, the two figures appear to be strangers, by chance observing the sea from the same railing on a ferry. Perhaps they are about to meet… But when the canvases are interchanged, we see a couple standing close at the rail, avoiding each other, perhaps after an argument, or perhaps at the end of a relationship… 

Owning a mutable artwork, you can choose which version of the scene better amuses you at the moment.
