Spiral 1.

The spiral motif was constructed and then used like a stamp to create a pattern onto a sheet of clay. When the design was completed, a print was obtainded by using both charcoal pencil and pastel. As a sculptress i am interested in techniques and combining materials to explore a concept. Celtic motifs can be seen on ancient stone crosses all over donegal and of course the images carved onto the New Grange stones are widely known.
