De pater familias zal het familieportret ophangen maar gaat daarbij door de haak waaraan het schilderij moet worden opgehangen. De consternatie is groot, behalve bij grootvader die al helemaal niet op het schilderij wilde en het wel leuk vindt dat zijn suffe schoonzoon zoiets doms doet.

In trying to hang the family portrait on the wall the pater familias rips it through the hook to which the painting has to be suspended. Panic all over, except for granddad who did not want to go in the picture at all in the first place and laughs out loud seeing his son in law making a such a stupid mistake.
